It is a member of the prestigious Edible Communities family of publications that won the James Beard Foundation’s Publication of the Year Award in 2011. Available free at locations throughout Michiana. A read worth your time.
Froehlich’s
Froehlich’s in Three Oaks has been the gourmet's resource in Harbor Country for two decades and continues to provide scratch-made jellies and breads as well as condiments, treats, apparel and kitchen needs. Locals enjoy meals at the café tables inside as well as sidewalk dining during the warm weather.
Greenbush Brewing
"Good beer wins" is the slogan of Greenbush Brewing just down the road in Sawyer. They list 19 varieties (including seasonal beers) on their website so there is something for every beer drinker. And perhaps even for those who think they don't enjoy the brew. The small tasting room is child friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming.
Journeyman Distillery
Located in the Historic Featherbone Factory in Three Oaks, whose founder E. K. Warren would have no truck with alcohol, Journeyman Distillery distills fine spirits in small batches. And they provide interested parties the opportunity to get up close and personal to the process with tours and even hands' on "bottling parties." They offer sophisticated spirits in a comfortable setting.
